Lions are members of Lions Clubs International, a community service organisation dedicated to the idea that the men and women who live in a community are in the best position to know who needs help and why. Local Clubs are part of the world's largest such organization, with 1.4 million members serving in more than 180 countries and areas of the world. The association is both non-political and non-sectarian.

The Lions thank the people of Devizes and all those who helped and supported us in our fund raising and continue to do so.

The President of Devizes Lions for 2011/2012 is Lion Andy Sheppard,

Lion Andy who will be familiar to many pet owners as he runs Rangebourne Pet Care at 38 New Park Street, Devizes.
He has decided not to adopt a single presidential charity for his year, but has decided to support groups in our area that have a remit to help others. He feels that supporting organisations such as those that recently received funds at the club’s presentation evening helps to spread the benefit of the Club’s work more widely.

He would be pleased to hear about any possible deserving causes and is happy for people to drop into Rangebourne and have a chat.

Lion Andy is not new to the Presidential role, having been in that role for Devizes Leo Club (young Lions) in 1973!
